Marc Okrand

Marc Okrand studied linguistics and earned his PhD with a grammar of the nowadays extinct Mutsun language, which was spoken in Northern California. He is well known for his work on the Klingon language and works closely together with the Klingon Language Institute to preserve their heritage. Okrand has written numerous books on the language, such as The Klingon Dictionary (1992) and Klingon for the Galactic Traveler (1997).
