Sanne Karssenberg, a graduate from Gerrit Rietveld Academy, is an artist specialized in fashion design. Illustrating Pen in the Park has been an occasion to combine her enthusiasm for drawing, and her interest, as well as involvement in social and political issues. She has travelled often to Turkey and has been following the political situation around the Gezi park closely, which led to creating, together with Raşel Meseri, the concept of Pen in the Park.
