With degrees in history and literature, Kathleen E. She also writes for public venues such as Vice.com, TheMarySue.com, and Atlas Obscura. She’s increasingly convinced that material culture, that is, stuff – from coconuts to coral and pomegranates to parrots – offers a prime way to demonstrate that everyone has a stake in medieval history.
