Mateusz Fafinski is a medievalist, digital humanist, and translator. His PhD thesis at Freie Universität Berlin focused on the uses of the material past in Early Medieval Britain. The thesis will shortly be published by Amsterdam University Press. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford Text Technologies, and he researches the nature of historical sources in the digital sphere, as well as being Principal Investigator of a new project mapping medieval Latin manuscripts. He teaches medieval history at Freie Universität Berlin.
